Remodeling Service & Installation Technician

Fitch Construction is looking for an experienced, dependable, and customer-focused Remodeling Service & Installation Technician to join our growing team.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving problems, interacting with homeowners, and taking pride in quality craftsmanship.

Our Service & Installation Technicians work on a variety of residential remodeling projects, including general remodeling repairs, warranty service, sunroom installations and repairs, and skylight installations and service.

What You'll Do

•Remodeling Service & Repair

• Perform warranty and service repairs in customers' homes.

• Complete punch-list and follow-up work.

• Perform carpentry, drywall, trim, flooring, doors, cabinets, painting, and general remodeling repairs.

• Troubleshoot construction-related issues and determine appropriate repairs.

• Identify and address water intrusion and other potential causes of damage.

Sunroom Installation & Service

• Install new sunrooms and related components.

• Install and service sunroom windows, doors, screens, roofing components, and framing.

• Troubleshoot and repair leaks, drafts, drainage issues, condensation, and other problems.

• Perform warranty and service repairs.

• Adjust and repair doors, windows, screens, and other components.

• Ensure completed installations meet Fitch Construction's quality standards.

Skylight Installation & Service

• Install new skylights as part of residential remodeling projects.

• Remove and replace existing skylights.

• Diagnose and repair skylight leaks, drafts, condensation, flashing problems, and water intrusion.

• Install and repair flashing, seals, and waterproofing components.

• Inspect skylights and surrounding roofing areas to identify potential issues.

• Perform warranty and service repairs.

Customer Service Is a Big Part of the Job

You'll be working directly in customers' homes, so professionalism and communication are extremely important.

• Clearly explain work being performed.

• Protect floors, walls, furniture, and belongings.

• Keep work areas clean and organized.

• Thoroughly clean up after every job.

• Communicate concerns or additional work needs to management.

• Represent Fitch Construction professionally at all times.

What We're Looking For

• Remodeling, carpentry, construction, or home improvement experience.

• Experience with sunrooms is a plus.

• Experience with skylights, roofing, flashing, or leak repair is a plus.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Comfortable using hand and power tools.

• Good understanding of residential construction.

• Ability to read and follow installation instructions.

• Ability to work independently while also being part of a team.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Excellent customer service skills.

• Professional appearance and attitude.

• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

• Ability to safely lift and carry construction materials.

• Comfortable working on ladders and elevated work areas when properly trained and equipped.
